I gave a presentation at the annual conference on Smarter Travel held in Birmingham on 5-6 February 2015. My topic was the policy context for smarter travel measures. My theme is that we have a good idea of how to achieve sustainable travel in Big Cities, exemplified by London, where the city is thriving while car use declines. Smaller cities are more of a problem, however.
